Archives for category: Lab grown gems

Our most recent group of Takara lab-grown diamonds included a 2.40ct ideal cut round which is, for now, the worlds largest, colorless, round lab grown diamond available for sale.

Lots of different papers have released this news, here’s the link to the Yahoo online version:

Takara lab grown diamonds are real, lab grown diamonds and ship with independent diamond grading reports from a reputable gem lab.

Takara lab diamonds offer the stunning beauty of top-grade, real diamond but at a fraction of the equivalent mined diamond price and with no ethical or environmental concerns.

All Takara diamonds will test positive as diamond under *any* test for diamond – because they are real diamonds, just lab grown rather than mined.

We are exceptionally thrilled to announce the first colorless batch of Takara lab grown diamonds is now available!

Our Takara lab grown diamonds are real, ultra-pure, ultra-hard, colorless lab grown white diamonds.

Takara lab diamonds are purer and harder than 98% of all mined diamonds. This ultra-purity results in exceptional clearness, allowing for amazing light play.

There is currently one cushion cut Takara diamond available, and several rounds including a 1.07ct D/VVS2.

Happy Halloween! This month we’ve got bad news, good news and interesting news.

Amora Gem – The Ultimate Gem updates:

Our robot supplier has defrauded us: Let’s jump right into the bad news. We had paid, in full, for another robot to join our Amora Gem robot team back in July, with the assurance that full payment up front meant a guaranteed October delivery.
The situation now is that we are currently out the money for the robot, and our holiday production will not be able to expand as planned.

Announcing BTD’s new robotics division! With the bad news aside, some longer term good news.

Thus, I am happy to announce that as of two weeks ago, we’ve founded our new Robotics division for BTD.
So, while it’s been a terrible experience short term to have a key supplier pull this kind of fraud, and at a time when we were counting on the increased production, the long term result will be that we have the ability to build better robots and at a faster pace than the former supplier.

I’ll have more updates as our TIGER robot design continues to be fleshed out, but the main news is that BTD is now not only a lab grown gem manufacturer, but also a robotics company!

BTD News:

RingExplorer.com – no further development planned: Unfortunately our ring search engine site RingExplorer.com has not gained enough traction to be worth continuing at this point. Thus, we’re freezing all further development on it. Resources that were being used there will be re-routed to focus on DiamondBistro, which I’ll comment on next.
DiamondBistro.com – growing rapidly, and we are rebuilding the *entire* site from scratch to massively improve it

That’s it for this month. Happy Halloween and hope you have a great weekend. See you at the end of November for our last blog of 2014!

The full post with more details, new product information and an upcoming inventory sneak peek can be found on our discussion board, here!

This week’s Amora Gem restock is for stones in the 11mm size range.

Amora Gem Ultra H&A

We currently have Amora Gem inventory available in sizes from 1.08ct up to 7.36ct.

We have contacted everyone on the notification list for the 8mm size range Amora Gem Ultra H&A Cushions from our most recent restock, and remaining inventory has been added to the site for regular purchase.

Amora Gem Ultra H&A Cushion

This will be the last expected restock of Cushions for 2014.

We have been working quietly (and slowly) on potentially being able to offer small (think 3-5mm) white lab grown Takara diamonds as early as next year.

The goal though is to be able to offer white lab grown diamonds in volume for our rings so that you could have an Amora Gem center and Takara white side diamonds, for a 100% lab grown, environmentally friendly ring.

Here’s the first photo – we’ll have the grading results after these are cut!

One of the delays was finding a suitable diamond cutter that could potentially cut these to either ideal or even H&A standard *and* is willing to work with lab grown diamonds. Fortunately, we’re now in discussions with just such a top notch cutter and hope to have the first samples at their facility for cutting shortly.

Note that this is still very much in the R&D stages as these are literally the first Takara whites to be cut – we’ll have to see how the color and clarity come out, as well as the total yield, cutting cost, etc. After that, we’ll grow and repeat, until we can ramp up to steady production and start offering these as both loose and side stone options on our site!

Lots of news, updates and surprises in the latest news post on the blog!  Here’s a small preview:

Hi again and Happy Friday!!

Hard to believe another month has whipped by, but it’s time for our usual monthly update, so let’s get underway!

Amora Gem – The Ultimate Gem Updates!

We have yet another robot scheduled to arrive in October and that will then put us in good stead to deliver greater production for the Holiday Season.

1.50ct’s are in progress again! We hope to have a full inventory of 1.50cts by the end of October in time for the holidays.

Insider knowledge – cubic moissanite growing during Amora Gem growth process: I thought I’d share something we’ve never shown publicly before. Below is a photo taken of some cubic moissanite that grew during an earlier Amora Gem growth run. They are readily identifiable by their vivid yellow color.
This photo is quite zoomed up but what you are seeing are termed ‘parasitic deposits’ which is where cubic Moissanite (or even regular Moissanite), if you are not careful, will start growing *everywhere* in the growth chamber to the point that the run has to be stopped, usually before the Amora Gem has reached its desired size. Thus, one task you have to work at during growth is preventing cubic Moissanite from popping up and overtaking the much slower growing Amora Gem.

BTD News:

Amora enhanced Moissanite production continuing smoothly: We’ve continued to keep our Amora enhanced production moving along nicely. We are currently now processing more 7.5mm and 8mm’s and hope to have the first of those out for sale next week. We’ve been sold out on both sizes while we were focused on the 6.5mm’s, but with the Holidays fast approaching, we’re now running all sizes from 6.5mm – 8mm to start replenishing our inventory.

Have a great weekend and see you at the end of October!

We have the first white Amora Gem available in the Old European Cut (OEC).
These will be available for purchase soon for those not already on the waiting list.

Our website shows a computer generated photo of the cut, and we also have a video of the first version of the cut.  Do note that the production stones, the ones that will be available for purchase, do have a smaller culet than shown in the studio video.

One of our cutters took this short video, so here’s a sneak peek at the OEC Amora Gems:

Since the recent years, the buy lab diamonds thing is progressively getting well known. Precious stones are remarkable sort of gems which keeps going forever and ladies have a tendency to purchase one. The jewels are greatly strong, stunning and extremely lavish. The jewel was thought to be acquired just by rich individuals. With the progression in the innovation today, one can purchase precious stone adornment you had always wanted at a diminished cost if one is eager to purchase lab jewels i.e. the jewels which are made in labs and Amora Gem is an impeccable sample of a lab made precious stone. The man made jewels like Amora Gem are additionally reasonable yet are fabricated with the same clarity and splendor as regular precious stones. There is distinction in cost of both the jewels.

The jewels have ended up prevalent and this has motivated the masters to discover better practical routines for giving the splendor of the stone in the gems. With their experience they have figured out options to jewels set forward like cut glass, cubic zirconium and rhinestones. These filled the need to some degree yet the lab made precious stones fail to offer the brightness and excellence of an authentic jewel. Moissanite was found in sections and this prompted the accomplishment of lab made jewels. Buy lab diamonds as they are currently great and turning into a famous as the genuine article.

The principle contrast between made precious stones and regular jewels are cost and natural effect. While lab jewels are indistinguishable to earth mined precious stones it has same timeless excellence, fire, extraordinary colors, splendor, hardness and quality. To Buy Lab Diamonds is simple for any person who wish to have the jewel. Jewels are excellence which keeps going forever.

The president of BTD has posted the latest news on our discussion board, and there is a lot of news this time!

Here are a few highlights:

Amora Gem Updates:

Rough for .50ct Amora Ultra rounds! I’ll start off with the biggest news which is we were able to grow some new rough suitable expressly for .50ct Ultras.

Continued work on 1ct Ultra rough growth: We had a few more 1ct rounds recently but those basically came and went as soon as we had posted them out for sale. We are working hard to fill that gap with more Ultras.

Fancy cut updates: As promised in our last update, we expected to have the first Ultra H&A cushions out for sale and we were able to do that.

We will have a few OEC’s out next month – however, after that we will need to focus on Ultra round production and thus will be indefinitely postponing any more work on Fancy cut Amora Gems.

Demand for fancy cuts is substantially lower than the rounds. The round wait list numbers simply dwarfed that of all the other cuts combined, many times over.

In addition, it’s simply a question of focusing our limited resources and those are currently best focused on the Ultra rounds, which we already have the most expertise in producing.

BTD News:

Timeless Regal continues taking off as our best-selling ring: The Timeless Regal has handily become our best-selling ring and the preferred setting for our Ultras.

Amora enhanced Moissanite production expands: We’ve been able to increase our Amora enhanced production this past month, and are now getting into a true production mode at last.

That’s it for this month’s update! Next update we should have the few OEC’s finalized and then will likely have some news on several resellers around the world for the Amora Gem Ultras!

The full post, with a lot more news, examples of the types of cuts rejected for our Amora enhanced Moissanite and further details about the fancy cut Amora Gems can be found on our discussion board here!

We have just restocked our H color, 7.5mm size Amora enhanced Moissanite.  We also have a few remaining 8mm sizes in stock at this time as well.
